Just a heads up about what's already done and what comes next.

Chapter 1 - 23 pages (done, maybe minor changes to dialogues until release)

Intro - 10 pages (done)

Chapter 2 - 35 pages (10 % dialogues done)

Chapter 3 - posing + photoshopping (just started)

Chapter 4 - N/A

Chapter 5 - N/A

Epilogue - N/A

-----------------------------------------

68 pages so far

Yes, the "intro" comes after the first chapter this time.

I made 222 pictures/poses so far, that's maybe a third or so of what's still to work on.

Release will be next year. I still don't really know when but I'm opting for a Valentine's Day release. I just won't make it until xmas, there's still way too much work to do. I'm currently busy with bathtub poses and will start photoshopping the first eight pics today, handpainting the bubble bath foam.

The comic's at 53 pages.

Progress is surprisingly good, given the circumstances...

My first guess on a final size is somewhere around 150 pages, maybe a little more.

Still no ETA for a release but I'm gonna be working on this project over xmas, and I actually think that the xmas scene in the comic will be made right then. :D

The story spans several years, featuring lots of romance and lots of erotic content.

I'm a sucker for couple in love erotic and romantic interactions, so expect quite a lot of that happening in the second half of the story. ^^

On a second note.....

Our Coonie's already bigger than an adult house cat. He's close to 5 months and weighs 7.5 pounds.

I'm working on a new comic and started photoshopping the first set of 120 pics today.

Progress will be slower this time. I'm raising a kitten now and can only work on the comic whenever he's asleep.

Fandom: Detroit: Become Human

Title: Forever comes right after

Theme: Romance/Erotic

Pairing: Markus/OFC

Rating: MA/18+

As always, the story will be heavily AU and only loosely based upon D: BH.

Markus won't be a prototype by Kamski this time. He's gonna be part of a new CyberLife campaign "Designed by YOU, assembled by CyberLife".

This comic will focus heavily on the romance and erotic part, and it will feature graphic erotic content and full frontal nudity.

I don't have an ETA right now, intro and first chapter are finished posing, photoshopping and comic creation will be next before I continue posing for chapter two, etc.

You write an erotic/explicit fanfic. What does and what doesn't belong there, content-wise?

The scenes can be explicit/graphic or just sensual "mood material". Is it supposed to be "jerk off material" or do you want to establish a slow, sensual build-up. Both are great, it's really just a matter of taste and what you want to achieve.

I'd like to offer a few tips to enhance your writing experience:

DO's:

Write from the heart.

Just pin down how the scene develops in your imagination. Corrections to flow and content come later, don't disrupt the mood you're in.

Write down whatever you like. You have kinks you're into? Include them or, even better: make them the main course of your erotic dish.

Write for yourself, not for others. If you don't have any fun writing the whole thing, there's a 99 % chance that your readers won't have any either.

And: if it doesn't turn you on, it definitely won't turn on others.

You have no idea how to add dialogues to the scene right away? Then don't. You can always add stuff later.

Use personal experiences and implement them into your stories. That enriches your erotic writing and makes the scenes more natural.

DONT's:

There's a lot of foreplay but it never really goes somewhere.

Banter. STOPP!!! Idle or funny banter doesn't belong here. Like, ever. Sex and banter is never a good combination. Do you want to arouse yourself (and your audience) or frustrate everyone with meaningless chatter?

Writing sex scenes like carbon copies of porn flicks. Please don't. Unless you want to make fun of porn flicks. But even that doesn't really belong here. Porn clips are NOT a mirror of reality. Ever. No one bangs away for 10 minutes - unless it's supposed to be an unfortunate character trait (unable to reach orgasm, etc.). Intercourse usually lasts between 10 seconds and two minutes.

Making your characters laugh, giggle, smirk or smile in the middle of it. Unless something really funny happens (like, falling out of bed cuz it's a really rough/wild ride or someone loses his/her balance), no one's in the mood anymore for that. The participants in your erotic setup are either horny or they're not. And no one who's really horny is in the mood for distracting stuff like laughing, giggling, etc.

as a rule of thumb:

attraction and/or lust as the motivation for the erotic scene

kissing + undressing (partly or in whole)

foreplay/teasing

heavy petting, including oral and/or manual stimulation, sex toys

intercourse + orgasm

afterglow + cuddling (if you feel like it)

Don't write one looooooooong sex scene filling more than 4 pages in total. That's like watching porn, the first ten minutes of watching are hot, two hours in one sitting is not. Divide your erotic content into several parts and keep every part as short as possible without starting to hurry.

Don't write whole scenes whenever there's sex happening in your story - unless you have a fetish or kink you can't get your muse flowing without. But please mark your fic down as "fetish" or "kink" and that you really need that stuff in your stories to be turned on. That's gonna up the possibility of addressing like-minded individuals, too.

Concentrate on different aspects every time you write a sex scene. Write one detailed foreplay, one detailed oral or manual stimulation, one detailed intercourse while the rest is more or less just sketched out. Don't write everything in highly detailed form - from the first kiss until the cuddle afterwards - every single time.

Don't write for Kudos or praise. Don't blackmail your audience by pressuring them to leave certain amounts of kudos before you even think about writing the next chapter. If you need praise/kudos as a motivation, please don't write. It should be a fun thing to do, not a frustrating experience. You'll never get the amount of kudos you think your story "deserves" and stories with a lot of kudos are not a guarantee for quality content.

--------------------

I'm only writing all this because I had a very frustrating experience a while ago.

I commissioned someone to write me an erotic fanfic, explicit content with romance, 10k words.

The result (after 1 year of waiting) was so awful that I'm still pissed about it. Not only because this so-called "professional" conned me out of my money. The story was scribbled down in a couple of hours and felt more like a first draft than a finished work. Lots of typos, transposed names here and there, missing words and the whole thing was just a lackluster, uninspired mess in general. I'd rather be struck by lightning than offering such a shoddy work to someone. I wouldn't even do that for free!

The setup was clumsy, the (female) character background took up so much place that there wasn't enough left for the romance to develop, and the erotic part was way too long and totally unrealistic (see carbon copy of porn flic), with lots of giggling and dumb smirking over his erection, lots of unrelated banter (while aroused) and the dumbest penetration scenes I was ever unfortunate enough to read. In short, it was an insult to my senses.

The characters felt more like teens than grown-ups (although they were supposed to be adults), they even behaved like teens. Ugh.

This ... "professional" never even thought about proper preparations. I commissioned this person a couple years ago already, and both of us still had the correspondence from that time, including the descriptions about the female character that I wanted and what she looked like, her age, etc. It would've taken only five minutes tops to double-check and scribble down age, character traits, etc. to work with again.

And, as the cherry on top, I only got a ton of excuses back without actually addressing what was really wrong with the fic, so there wouldn't be any risk of me having the right to demand a re-write.

It was only mentioned that it was impossible to develop a romance properly within the limit of 10k words.

WRONG! Why can I, as a non-native speaker of all people, write a developing romance, including the physical and emotional effects (racing heart, sweaty palms, blushing, yearning, longing, etc.) of someone falling in love in 10k, including several erotic scenes and this "professional" can not?

It was also mentioned that the story included everything that I wanted to have included. Ticking off all the "right" boxes doesn't make it a good story. In fact, I rather wish the story would've concentrated on one or two things instead of trying to fit everything into it.

It was also mentioned that the story was a "love story/romance".

NO it was not. The two main characters ended up being "comfortable" with each other. That's not love, that's friendship. Jeez!!

And all that for 100 bucks. D8

I practically got the middle finger (with nicer words, but a middle finger is still a middle finger even when packed nicely) via mail when I complained after reading the mess.

No, FUCK YOU. I rather be struck by lightning (twice!!) than commission you again.

Okay, rant's over, folks.

The ragdoll is finished. I'm playtesting it right now, making a few poses and the illustrations for the fanfic.

The story is in its final stage. Pages 1 - 37 are almost completely finished. Only a handful of sentences and a few paragraphs here and there need more work.

Page 38 - 50 will be next. I haven't touched these pages so far cuz I wanted everything else to be as good as done.

Maybe another week or so until the story is ready. Then, I take a break and let it sit for 24 hours before having another look, reading it from start to finish. Only then can I decide if it's good enough for an upload to AO3 or I still need more time for corrections.

My goal is always to have not more than 2 quirky/awkwardly worded sentences in the whole story. As long as there's more, my work isn't done. :)
